The Department of Science and Humanities was started from the inception of the college in 2009. Its intention is to provide value-based education to the budding scientists and engineers.It has taken tremendous effort to connect schools with the Engineering stream.Students pursuing Engineering courses should undergo their study of basics in sciences, as Engineering is nothing but the application of science.

The Department consists of four branches of study, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. All these four houses exist as separate divisions and maintain individual identity. Well-experienced and highly qualified faculty members of the department have made consistent and strenuous efforts to the students to improve their learning and research & development processes.
The Department is enthusiastically involving in the early development of students’ personality, communication and soft skills to delight themselves in the modern and globally competitive environment.

Materials Science
Department of S&H has its own library consisting of nearly 750 books related to Physics, English, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects for the benefit of the students and the staff members. Under the skill development scheme, the department library also provides magazines such as Auto Car, Electronics for You, Competition Success Review, GK Today, Electrical India, Data Quest and India Today along with the daily newspapers like The Hindu, The New Indian Express.
