SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation

Clean Water and Sanitation aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. For an engineering institution, SDG 6 is essential for promoting water conservation, efficient water management, hygiene, sanitation, and awareness among students and staff.

Jai Shriram Engineering College is committed to promoting sustainable water management through water conservation, rainwater harvesting, wastewater management, and awareness programmes. The institution encourages students and staff to use water responsibly and avoid unnecessary wastage. Initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, water-saving practices, proper maintenance of water facilities, sanitation awareness, and wastewater reuse help promote responsible water management on campus.

The college believes that efficient water use and proper sanitation contribute significantly to environmental protection, public health, and sustainable development. By creating awareness and encouraging practical water conservation measures, Jai Shriram Engineering College supports the vision of SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation and works towards developing a water-efficient and hygienic campus.

The curriculum is mapped with SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation by integrating concepts and learning activities related to water conservation, sustainable water resource management, sanitation, and efficient utilization of water resources.
